The project involved the construction of workshop amenities with hard stand and adjacent two-storey office accommodation with bitumen car parking for staff and visitors.
The project employed a number of highly qualified and experienced site personnel, from steel fixers, to form workers, concreters, scaffolders and carpenters and comprised a large 4,400m² workshop with a separate 750m² office building constructed from concrete tilt-up panels poured in-situ. The workshop was constructed with a structural steel portal frame and Colorbond® steel Trimdek wall cladding over dado concrete panels, while the office accommodation was constructed with a suspended concrete floor slab (Kingflor System) to the office accommodation and workshop mezzanine, and Colorbond® steel custom orb feature wall cladding. Visual impact was added to the building’s façade by including a butterfly (skillion) roof and overhanging eaves lined with Colorbond® steel mini orb. With a strong emphasis on safety, reliability and quality construction at all times, the project was delivered on time and on budget with the company undertaking every aspect of the commercial concreting and precast tilt-up concrete panel construction work itself.
