Double Storey Office Accommodation

Project Brief

The project involved the construction of a double storey office development, purpose built to the specifications of a state-wide commercial radiator wholesaler and manufacturer. The upstairs accommodation consists of 16 offices and a large open-plan conference room with hide-away wet bar, while the lower floor consists of change rooms and toilet facilities, a gymnasium, employee lunchroom, training rooms and reception area.

Project Description

The project was completed to client specifications, including pouring the concrete hardstand in four separate stages to allow for access to existing buildings and workshops on the site during the construction phase. The project comprised of concrete tilt panel construction with a structural steel frame and roof. This method of construction combined rapid building times with quality assured materials, resulting in a commercially cost-effective solution for the development. The project also included the installation of mechanical roller shutters, with electrical, mechanical and hydraulic services successfully implemented (both internally and externally) during construction. Road paving, kerbing and line markings as per client specification were also implemented for vehicles with access control implemented through secure fencing, hoarding and safety signage. Stringent site access protocol, including principal and agent induction procedures, regular tool box meetings and site inspections were also a requirement of the works.
